Orangutan - Pongo pygmaeus
Found only in Borneo and Sumatra (Indonesia).
Orangutans spend most of their time in tree tops of the
rainforest. Sadly they are endangered with an estimated
80% of their suitable habitat destroyed by Man. They
are such endearing creatures with many facial
expressions showing human characteristics. Their
estimated life span in the wild is 30 - 40 years.
